The post's name is new again: Fort Lee, then Fort Gregg-Adams from 2023, and back to Fort Lee in July 2025 — now honoring Pvt. Fitz Lee, a Buffalo Soldier and Medal of Honor recipient born just over the line in Dinwiddie County.
Richard Bland College, Virginia's only public residential two-year college, sits on 750 acres here — including the state's oldest and largest pecan grove.
